My Journey to Self-Discovery
50 to 50
Week 50: July 7-13, 2024
There is such incredible wonder in young minds. Observing how they navigate new experiences is as entertaining as it is marvellous. One evening this week I took my 6 year-old niece swimming. She went down a big waterslide for the first time. The exhilaration seeping from every pore of her body was promptly interrupted by the Lifeguard’s whistle ordering everyone out of the water.

Food for Thought
Strawberry Moon
Every 18.6 years the Full Moon in June, also known as the Strawberry Moon, coincides with the Summer Solstice, signalling the transition of seasons into the long awaited and short-lived summer months. So named by Algonquin Tribes, to recognize the start of the strawberry harvest. When it falls on the Solstice, the moon appears especially large and low on the horizon, often with a red/orange hue, further verifying the appropriate nomenclature.
